When we past The Waving Girl statue, Savannah GA a question was asked. Would you wait 40, 50 years for the one you love? Many couples were seen shaking their heads no. To which the Captain of the vessel replied “ that’s not what you’re supposed to say, gentlemen. What the lady in your life wants to hear is “I would wait forever just for glimpse your beautiful face.”
Now I have a question. If the waving girl and her sailor had gotten together; what would have happened. Would the story have turned into a myth, would it be bigger than life; would it be told for centuries—
