As the whisper echoes, the wonder of history’s answer will give sway to the mystery that still haunts us—what became of the lost Colony of Roanoke Island, NC.
The story of this colony has left him wondering but even more intriguing is: are there any descendants still roaming the earth? Imagine attending a family gathering where someone says, “I can trace my lineage to the lost colony in Roanoke NC.” What questions would you ask?

One March 2nd and 3rd, 1859 under a sky of heavy rain the largest auction of Africans took place in Savannah GA. The two day event was held at TinBroeck Race Course where approximately 436 people were separated and sold to the highest bidder.
It is regarded as one of the darkest episodes in our history. The Weeping Time echoes with cries of those families. As you tour Savannah we are reminded that under its beauty lies the dark secrets of our past.
While in Savannah GA this past week to scout out possible locations to move I was reminded of the below legend of The Waving Girl of Savannah GA
What all women secretly want
When we past The Waving Girl statue, Savannah GA a question was asked. Would you wait 40, 50 years for the one you love? Many couples were seen shaking their heads no. To which the Captain of the vessel replied “ that’s not what you’re supposed to say, gentlemen. What the lady in your life wants to hear is “I would wait forever just for glimpse your beautiful face.”
Now I have a question. If the waving girl and her sailor had gotten together; what would have happened. Would the story have turned into a myth, would it be bigger than life; would it be told for centuries—
Question asked by Capt. Mike, the Savannah Queen Riverboat

As you might know the past is often referred to as the good old days. That’s because “the history books have cleaned them up.”*
Tale’s of love’s longings, broken dreams and the shadows of spirits just like us fills the air; only known in the memories of stories and myths. Join us as we walk the streets remembering those who have gone before us. Their fears, hopes, loves, sacrifices, etc. Enter a world where the spirits still speak their concerns for you. Will we listen to the spine-chilling creeks of our mind?
